What is Somatic Processing?

Somatic processing is a specific approach to somatic healing and is based on the idea that traumatic experiences cause dysfunction in a person’s nervous system and prevent them from processing the experience. The goal of somatic experiencing, therefore, is to help an individual notice physical sensations stemming from their trauma and use that awareness to work through painful feelings and emotions. This kind of physical sensation can be in the form of chronic pain and other unpleasant symptoms.

How can Somatic Processing help you?

Somatic Processing doesn't just focus on you verbally sharing your experiences. Instead, it also focuses on balancing your nervous system getting it out of flight or fight mode and helping it/you feel safe again. Allowing you to heal individual memories and experiences a lot faster than talk therapy alone is able to.

Sasha is an Intimacy Coach, Sex Educator, & Mental Wellness Coach. She shares the skills, practices & techniques that have helped her overcome deeply ingrained limiting beliefs such as sexual shame, lack of self-confidence and self-worth, the martyr mama mentality, and childhood neglect and abuse. Sasha combines her years of study in trauma recovery, somatic healing, shamanism, women’s reproductive health, midwifery, conscious parenting, & touch therapy to offer healing to others.

As a love warrior, Devyn Harris is in this world to support healing through love. Offering a compassionate space where all manner of emotions are welcome and loved she guides people to discover their own bodies’ innate ability to heal traumas. Providing tools to rise above reactions and stay centered through the complexities of life. Her focus is on sexual assault, and domestic violence trauma, supporting people in rediscovering the feeling of safety and security in their own bodies.

As a survivor of trauma herself & after her own healing journey, Marcela offers her years of studying trauma recovery, somatic healing, inner child work, & gentle parenting to help other women heal from domestic, childhood, and narcissistic abuse. Offering a safe & gentle space for you to come as you are, and working together to reach your goals and free you from past traumas and limiting beliefs.
